A QCS (Quality Control System) is a device capable of measuring continously some products characteristics just in the same time it come out from production line; this without any interference with production itself. In the actual market, all companies really need to measure and certify the quality of products, specially in pulp and paper market; this is real also for the smallest of them, that usually struggle to get a big loan such the larger companies usually do. This is the analysis that drove us to design our QCS focusing on reliability in an affordable product also for the small companies but without quality compromises.

ECS Plus is a totally integrated system, designed for the needs of paper production, to achieve better quality and energy efficiency.
Using new technologies and our long field experience in QCS and DCS we were able to design a quality and control system with all the best issues from device development and application techniques.

O-FRAME

EcsPlus O-Frame allows sensor movement with precision and speed to achieve optimal results for cross direction control and optimization.
The whole structure is a solid one, designed for an outstanding measure steadiness in couple with high reliability and easy of maintenance, also in demanding ambiental situation.

Main features of this device are:

  • Quick and precise system to uncoupling of the carriers for easy maintenance
  • Pressurized internal structure with sealers all down sided, to avoid dust intrusion and subsequent non scheduled out of service
  • Monolithic construction with internal reinforcement to achieve high resistance to linear and torsional strenght
  • Side support welded for structural robustness
  • Monolithic construction allows thermal stability and no need for compensation systems
  • Sensors carriers with edge of sheet devices for automatic regulation without operator intervention – this allows also higher performances in cross direction control

  • Sensor position from optical encoder with high resolution mounted directly on drive shaft, for a precision higher than 0.25mm (0.01 inches).

I-FRAME

U-FRAME

EcsPlus U-Frame is designed to achieve a high measurement steadiness at the scanning speed needed for automatic cross regulation of basis weight, moisture and caliper.
Its structure is made by a double IPE bar with parallel wings, under which sensor carrier guides are mounted and aligned; these bar have a U shape.
Upper and lower sensors slots are located at the edge of the main U structure and perfectly alligned: this allows the constance of relative position of the sensors during movements for measuring.

Main features of  mod.U are:

  • quick release of coupling system for upper and lower carriers using a vertical rotational junction
  • High reliability also in high demanding environment
  • Easy of maintenance
